We kept with tradition and spent the 4th in Raft River-and had a {mostly} great time! We spent the first part of the day all hanging out at Kenny and Cheryl's house. Ter and Nicole set us up our own little waterpark so we didn't have to deal with the craziness of the slides at Steadman's. The kids had a great time playing and we loved being able to keep track of them! Then we all loaded up and headed to the big party. This is where the mostly part comes in-when we were unloading all the kids down in the little parking area one of the kids wandered over by a dog that was chained up to a truck's hitch. The dog wasn't being super friendly and it it was just making me nervous so I went over to get him and the dog ran out and munched the back of my leg-ouch! There was one really bad puncture and then four little ones. (the dog had all it's shots so that was good but it still ended up infected pretty bad but everything is good now.) That put a little big of a damper on the night but we still had a lot of fun.
The boys and I made these cute 4th of July shirts that we might have to do every year now. I love my family and am so grateful that we live in this country!
We hit the Rupert parade on our way to Raft River with Casey and Brett's families.
Bryke had such a great time playing with all of his cousins. I love that we all live close enough that we can get together pretty often!
I am one lucky lady to have such amazing sister-in-laws!
Kendal, David, Bryker and Mia all joined in on the pie eating contest. Bryke wasn't too sure about it and took only a couple bites but the rest were loving it!
