Welcome home Elder Darrington!

On August 19th around 10 pm Elder Darrington got home from the Czech Republic! It was a little crazy “meeting” Cody again. Ter and I got married only a couple weeks before he left so I didn’t really get to know him. He pretty much came home to a completely different family. He didn’t have any nieces or nephews when he left and he came home to 2 nephews and 1 niece and 2 nephews and 1 niece on the way! We are so proud of Cody and know that he was a great missionary-welcome home cody!

While we were in SLC we all went to the Hogle Zoo. It was Bryke’s first zoo experience and he did really good although I think he was more interested in all the different people than the animals.

Ter and his brother Brett went fishing and came home with these whoppers!

Families are Forever

The day after Jill and Kade were sealed Ryan and Kaci were sealed together and then little Mackie was brought in and sealed to her parents. It was truly one of the sweetest moments I have ever been a part of. I felt the Spirit so strong in that moment and I am so grateful that I have the knowledge of the restored gospel in my life and know that my family can be together forever!

J & K Searle

On August 12th Kade and Jill were sealed for time and all eternity in the Twin Falls Temple. My baby sister is a married woman!!!! And oh my did she look gorgeous! It was a beautiful sealing. It was the second time that I was in the temple with all of my siblings and their spouses and my parents-it truly was heaven on Earth. Congrats Kade and Jill-we love you!!

Jill and Kade had a reception in Filer-which was in the cultural hall of the church. It was tented and decked out in beautiful black and white and orchids-fancy! The second one was in Burley and just as beautiful. It was outside and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! My mom made us our gorgeous skirts and Jill gave us all the pretty necklaces. We took a new family picture and I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Here Fishy Fishy

Yesterday we took off to American Falls with Jacob, Breawna and Quinnlee for a day of fishing and fun. The boys took on the fishies while the mamas and kiddos played at the park. After a fun, but catchless, day of fishing we loaded everybody up and went to Indian Springs. It was Bryke’s first time swimming and he {loved} it! We had such a fun day outdoors and spending time with each other and the Browns-fish on!

6 whole months

This month the little B man:
-weighs 17 lbs 1 oz in the 49%
-27 ½ inches tall 85%
-46 cm head in the 95% (he needs a big head for all those smarty pants brains :)
-loves mama’s red water bottle
-pro roller over-er :)
-not such a pro sleeper
-almost sitting up by himself
-turnin' into a mama's boy (he knows when I leave the room now)
-can turn himself all the way around-crawling might not be so far away-
-no teeth yet
-screams, like really screams, like a little girl
-loves otter pops and if you don’t give him more in about 2.5 seconds he will not be a happy boy
-loves to be outside
-starting to be a bit of a snuggler
-likes to swim in the bath
-is a naughty little pincher
-has monkey toes
-puts his binky in all by himself like a pro
*has our hearts in the palm of his hand*

Yardsalin' and crafting away the days

This has been an awesome summer of yardsalin’ and crafting. I’ve been going with Nicole here in Pocatello and then when we go to Filer Laura and I sneak away to a few in the wee hours of the morning-she is hard core! But all of my trips have been fruitful-whether I needed all that “fruit” I’m not so sure :) Some of my best finds are a leather rocker that reclines for $10 (I didn’t even know about that little bonus until Ter tried it out!), a little chair for Bryke for $1 (I’m going to redo the cover and give it to him for Christmas), nursing bras (kind of weird but after a good wash they’re brand new in my eyes…and I was desperate for new ones), all sorts of ribbons and sewing stuff and much more!

For crafting, Ter’s cousin Breawna and I made these 4 season blocks. It only took us 3 months but it was worth it they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. Then I borrowed an idea I saw online and made Bryke a mobile out of paint chip cards-thanks Lowe’s! I love how it turned out! Finally my super good friend Rach is having a baby girl {anytime now!} and I made her these little goodies for her little lady that I can’t wait to meet!

2 sweet years

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary a day early on Saturday while we were in Twin Falls. Bryke got to spend some quality time with his grammie and grandpa and we took off to a wonderful dinner at Jakers and then Ter took one for the team and took me to Harry Potter! We hadn’t been to a movie in forever and I was pretty excited to see Harry Potter. I was our first real date since our little family went from 2 to 3 and it was a much needed night out on the town with my hubby. In honor of 2 years together my 2 most favorite things about my man are: 1. he absolutely loves the little B man and the little B man absolutely loves him (I’m pretty sure dada is going to be his first word) and 2. he’s my best friend that’s all there is too it- I love you babe-thanks for 2 amazing years!!
