Today after class we quietly gathered up all of our snow stuff, snuck to the car and made our escape from Rexburg!! First we went to "R" mountain to find a complete lack of snow so we made a spur of the moment decision and went to Harriman Stake Park. This was the perfect scene for our mission of... snowshoeing! Last time we were home we were given the privilege of going shopping in the basement for the family discount of free (it's like a mini sportsman and REI all in one) and we walked out with a couple of pairs of snow shoes (Thanks Dad!) The drive up was just b-e-a-utiful! I'd never been up that way so it was a fun new adventure. We started out kind of late so we only got to snowshoe for about 45 minutes but it was completely worth it! It was just what we needed, a little rejuvention to help us make it through the rest of the semester. On the way home we stopped at this family diner in Ashton and had a great dinner. It was the perfect date and a much needed get away with my hubby. There's something about just hopping in the car and going that clears my mind and makes me feel so happy, especially when its with my boy...can't wait to do it again! ( Sorry for the pic overload!)

Little bit of good and a lot a bit of bad
Lets start with the good. Meet my new favorite little buddies, the cinnamon roll sugar cookies! They were the easiest thing to make-except the frosting I don't think I got that quite right. But I got the recipe from Tried and True Yummy Recipes (its on my blog list). The recipe made a ton and they turned out very good-go give it a try! On a side note I promise I just don't cook and do crafts well somedays thats true...Terry says that we need a baby so I have something to actually blog about :)

Now on to the bad...you might want to grab a tissue or in my case it was my sleeve in the hall of the Kimball building and a carton of Ben and Jerry's most chocolately concoction (I made due with left over Coldstones). Now that your ready here's the scoop...Friday I went in to double check that everything was on track to graduate. I waited in line and silently said a prayer that I wouldn't end up like a guy in my class and find out that I was short a few credits just for good measure. Well I should have prayed a lot harder because I wasn't told I was short a few credits I was told I was 9 credits short!!! This really nice counselor guy was the one to break the news to me and after the shock subsided the tears took over. I choked out thanks for helping me and tried to walk away with out letting the damn break-I only made it out the door. I was just so disappointed!! I just kept telling myself that I could make it through this semster and I was done. To top it all off Financial aid wouldn't give me my full ride academic scholarship unless I took 14 credits so I took 3 stupid credits this semester and now I am going to have to take 5 meaningless credits next semester. Now that things have kind of calmed down I'm realizing its not too bad because I'll get to take some fun classes, get good financial aid that will let me seriously cut down hours at subway and I'll get to continue to work at LDS Philanthropies with the most amazing people. It was just a big surprise and totally unexpected. The reason for it all was that they or me (not really sure on this still) double counted 9 credits. It's like I just slipped through the cracks and nobody checked anything (that sounds super whiny but I'm ok with it in this case). I still get emails about graduating and walking. If I hadn't double checked I would have invited my family to graduation and showed up ready to get a diploma haha can you imagine that?! So here I come 6th straight semester in a row at BYU-Idaho!

Easy and Fun
Yesterday I missed out on a baby shower for my super cute friend Emily. She is going to have her baby in April and we are so excited for them! Let me tell you a little about this amazing lady…she is 7 ½ months prego and is amazing active. A couple of weeks ago she helped teach a spinning class and teaches yoga too. I hope I can be half as active as her! For the shower I jazzed up a wipes case and made nursing cover clips. Both really easy and super fun.

Catch up Time
It's been awhile so here is what we've been up to (sorry it's so long and were kind of boring):
Last weekend we went to the funeral of Terry’s cousin Lacey’s baby boy Bekm. It was an amazing service and truly comforting. I just don’t know if I would be strong enough to make it through something as hard as losing a child. It made me very thankful for eternal families and the hope and peace that the gospel brings into our life. The same day as the funeral our sister in law Vanessa went into labor and delivered our cute little nephew David John Darrington. I think he was 7 lb 8oz. We are so excited to have this cute little guy in our family. We spent the rest of the weekend in Filer at my parent’s house. It was so nice to be able to relax after the emotion packed days before. We celebrated my Mom’s birthday. I am so lucky to have such an amazing mama! I love her to pieces!
Toasting uncle Terry
Confession time. I have an abnormal fear of pregnant ladies. It’s just kind of weird to me. Ladies, like these two pretty gals, are razor thin one time I see them and the next time they’ve got a little more goin on in front. I can’t really explain it all I know is that when I hug them I do the awkward bum out hug so I don’t touch their tummy. My brother Ryan tries to make me touch their tummies and when we were home I was afraid they were going to pregnant lady sandwich me! Who knows what will happen when I’m the one with a bowling ball under my shirt (Kace and Laur I mean this in the nicest way possible you guys both look great!)
The end of the cooking section of my class came with a Blackberry pie. It was so yummy! I loved learning how to make all of these new things. Now were in the interior decorating section and it is so much fun. One assignment has been to get 20 pics of things we would like in our future homes and get comments on them from our spouses. It was pretty funny to hear Terry's comments :) I can't wait to have a house someday and fill it with pretty stuff!
The weekend of the 5th and 6th we went to the Webb Dairy's house in Liberty. We went with 3 other couples, Kyle and Emily, Tori and Adam and Breawna and Jacob, and Terry’s cousin, Eric. We had a little scheduling conflict when we got there but other than that the weekend was so much fun. It was so great to be able to get to know the wives of Terry’s best friends better. We stayed up way too late, ate great food and laughed until we were sick. I definitely hope that this will be a lasting tradition! The video is from the boys big snow ball fight and then our pretty view. All the girls took the shopping route instead and I got a cute winter coat for only $4o!

Terry is in a Sports Medicine class this semester so I have been the lucky practice dummy. He is now a pro taper and my favorite a pro massager!
We celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early and it was the best! I came home from class on Friday and found a bouquet of beautiful flowers, the sweetest card and some chocolates. I also got a coupon for dinner to wherever I wanted. So last Friday we went to Texas Roadhouse and spoiled ourselves. I love my hubby!
This is my V-day craft. I got the idea from Terry's cousin Melissa. Love cheap crafts!

Lava Hot Springs
Last night we made a little trip to Pocatello where we ate dinner with Terry’s sister Nicole and her husband Jordan and their upstairs neighbors. It was so yummy, stuffed pork chops!! After dinner we trekked to Lava Hot Springs and soaked in the hot pools. It was so relaxing and so much fun to meet a new couple and hang out with Jordan and Nicole. We didn’t stay too long cause those babies are HOT!! I definitely recommend the hot pools for a nice relaxing evening! This isn't a very good pictue but it shows all the steam from the pools.
