The Haney's came to town!

I think there's still hope for friendship instead of a boxing match!

Ryan, Kaci & Mackie come to visit us and we had a ball! Ry and Ter took off for a day of fly fishing around Idaho Falls and Kaci and I stayed home with the kiddos and partied all day. We started off with a trip to a few stores and then came home for nap time. We made some lunch and then settled in to watch Breaking Dawn. Then it was time to play referee when Mack and Bryke woke up. I think it’s safe to say that they have a love/hate relationship. Bryke doesn’t quite know how to play yet and Mack is a feisty little thing so it made for some interesting play. I think they both got a few good swings in :) We loaded up the kids again and went and got supplies to make a spring wreath and didn’t realized what we were getting ourselves into with the one we chose {took forever!}! We watched a movie and then all passed out. Kac and I finished our wreaths the next morning {they turned out so cute!} and then they headed out. It was so much fun to have then come visit us-we don’t get to see them enough! Love you guys!

Love day!

My parent's v-day present-cutest grandkids ever!

Lots to love this year on Valentine’s Day-love my boys! We stayed home and made a gourmet dinner of steaks smothered in mushrooms, onions and cheese, and had asparagus, mashed potatoes, a yummy pink drink and sugar cookies. A lot of work to cook it all but nice not to have to fight the crowds and just get to hangout with my boys at home.

1st haircut

While everyone was here for the party we took advantage of Kaci’s hair cutting expertise and let her have at Bryke’s crazy hair. I was super reluctant to cut his wispy curls and when she did the first swipe my heart dropped a little! His baby hair was gone and in the space of like 10 minutes he looked like such a big boy! At first he sat so good in his bumbo and didn’t mind at all but towards the end he was getting pretty wiggle and wasn’t so sure about it anymore. Kaci did such a great job and after a little time to get used to it I absolutely love his big boy hair-Thanks Aunt Kaci!

Bryke's 1st birthday party

Friday was Bryke’s birthday and we celebrated with balloons, YoCrazy frozen yogurt and a new Little Quack book and then the real party started on Saturday and lasted all day long! Both mine and Ter’s family all came and we partied at the church so we could all fit. My family got here early and helped keep me sane by helping out {thank you thank you!} The kids all enjoyed running around the gym and the rest of us ate until we couldn’t move.
Bryke was a little hesitant with diving into his cake but got the hang of it with a little help from Macey. And presents held his attention for about 2 seconds. He got s.p.o.i.l.e.d! We are so thankful that we live close enough to all of our family that they could come and celebrate with us!
After we got all cleaned up my family headed over to see the ducks and then stopped into a few vintage shops-so fun to be able to spend a little extra time with them! Then after they had headed out we met up with all of Ter’s family and went out for Mexican food. It was a great day full of fun with the family-thanks for partying with us everyone!

Happy happy birthday little man!

Happy first birthday little bugaboo!!

I can’t believe it has been a {whole} year since you came into our lives! You have brought so much love, happiness, sleepless nights :), smiles and such a sweet spirit into our home. Our lives have revolved around you and we wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s hard to imagine what our lives were like before you came along little man.

It has been so much fun to watch you learn and grow throughout this year. You are a little superman! Walking before you were 1, saying mama and dada, starting to feed yourself and sleeping through the night-you are your mama and papa’s little champ and we love you so very much!

We have so many hopes and dreams for you Bryke. We hope that you will know without a shadow of a doubt that you are one loved little man and that we feel so blessed that we get to love you for eternity. We hope that you will learn to love your Savior and try to be like Him. We hope that you will be happy and love life and love us as much as we love you!

There are so many things that we are going to miss about you being our little man because you think that you need to grow up in a hurry. Your mama and daddy love the way you snuggle up with us when your sleepy, your sweet chubby little cheeks, racing to your room to be the first one to get you after your nap, the cheeser faces you make, your sweet dance moves, how you point with your fist turn your head and make a little noise when you want something, your bottomless pit for a stomach and your amazing bed head hair. Keep growing up big and strong Bryke, but know that you will always be our little man!

You taught us how to be parents, thanks for being our guinea pig! It has been so much fun to go through this journey Bryke, we are {so} thankful that Heavenly Father blessed us with .you. You will never know just how much we love you-you are our most favorite thing in the whole world!

Your mommy and daddy love you to the moon and back Bryke!
